The Lynbridge Valley in North Devon offers a unique setting for camping with a pub next door.
Lynton and Lynmouth are a short woodland walk in one direction or a beautiful river and hillside walk in the other, The twin towns are famous for having a great selection of pubs and restaurants to be enjoyed locally, they are also famous for being home to the biggest tourist attraction in North Devon, The Lynton and Lynmouth Cliff Railway.
The Lynbridge Valley is the starting point to many a great walk, Choose from day long hikes across the moors and through valleys, exploring waterfalls and ancient settlements or take a picturesque 1.1km walk up the West Lyn River and back just to clear the mind before your day begins. This is North Devon Camping at its most relaxed,
Camping at Sunny Lyn in North Devon
The West Lyn River runs alongside the camp site which sets the relaxing tone to the valley, All the amenities you would expect are available, cafe for breakfast, good Wifi, new shower blocks and a small shop.
Limited spaces are available so its a good idea to book up early to be guaranteed a space.
The Site has recently undergone much upgrading work and has great quality motorhome pitches available alongside the camping area.
The Cottage Inn Pub
Walk through the gate at the end of the camp site and you are in the Cottage Inn grounds, The pub has a beer garden overlooking the river and is home to Nartnapa Thai Restaurant.
The Cottage Inn normally sells local cask conditioned Ales, often from Otter Brewery in Devon, Exmoor Ales or other, A friendly team of staff are at hand and are knowledgable on local walks and the local area in general.
The Cottage Inn doesn't always open through the day time and rests the full team on set days but check out definitive hours on the book a table section of the website below.
Its hard to find a more relaxed camping ground in North Devon that is just a stones throw away from Villages and Towns.
