Thai Chef Living In The UK
To introduce myself, I am Chef Nartnapa, I live in the beautiful South West of the UK in Lynton and Lynmouth on The Exmoor National Park.
Whilst being a mother is my first Job I am also head Chef at Nartnapa Thai Kitchen at The Cottage Inn pub, here I work alongside an amazing team of chefs that I am proud to say have been trained to cook Thai food by myself and that we are great friends also.
My success as a Thai Chef I put down to truly understanding the simple basic flavour groups perfectly, once this is mastered all dishes can be designed with confidence, you can become an expert at cutting back on food waste, using up leftovers to produce dishes that your family love.
My husband has always made me a better chef, he has believed in my ability from day one and loves my food.
My foodie superhero is Thai Celebrity Chef Yingsak, I was lucky enough to undertake my training at his Thai Chef academy in Bangkok, here he taught me to master the simple basics of Thai food.
At the end of my training I was lucky enough to be chosen to cook alongside him on national television, which is my claim to fame.
Over the last decade we have learnt so much about great food and would love to pass some of our experience on to others to use in their homes.
Future blogs will include recipes, dishes we have created and goings on in our Thai Kitchen, Im planning a weekly post , join me, i'm really looking forward to the journey.
